Adult Jazz

Adult Intro to Jazz (4-Week Series)

Our Adult Intro to Jazz is a 4-week series designed specifically for adults who are new to dance or looking to return after time away. No prior experience is required.

Grounded in the foundational principles of Luigi and Giordano jazz techniques, this series focuses on building strength, coordination, flexibility, rhythm, and confidence in a welcoming and supportive environment. Over four weeks, dancers will be introduced to fundamental jazz positions, progressions, turns, kicks, and movement combinations while developing musicality and body awareness.

Each class is technique-based and thoughtfully structured to help dancers understand proper alignment, movement quality, and the artistry of jazz dance at a comfortable and encouraging pace. As the series progresses, dancers will build upon previous concepts, creating a strong technical foundation and increased confidence in their movement.

Whether you are stepping into the studio for the first time or reconnecting with dance as an adult, this 4-week series offers an uplifting and educational experience that celebrates movement, growth, and self-expression.

Adult Jazz (Advanced Beginner/Intermediate)

Our Adult Jazz class is designed for dancers who have completed our Adult Intro to Jazz Series or have previous jazz training and are ready to build upon their foundation. This class is ideal for adults who understand basic jazz terminology and technique and are looking for a more challenging and dynamic class experience.

Drawing from the principles of Luigi and Giordano jazz techniques, dancers will continue developing strength, flexibility, coordination, rhythm, and performance quality while expanding their technical vocabulary. Classes include a thorough warm-up, progressions across the floor, turns, kicks, leaps, and center combinations designed to improve both technical proficiency and artistry.

Students will refine their understanding of alignment, musicality, and movement quality while increasing confidence, stamina, and versatility. Choreography and movement combinations become more complex as dancers develop stronger technical skills and a greater ability to retain and apply corrections.

Whether your goal is to continue your dance education, challenge yourself physically, or simply experience the joy and energy of jazz dance, this class offers a supportive and encouraging environment where adults can continue to grow as dancers.
